Our beach-to-bush (B2B) program offers an immersive 6-week study adventure in partnership with Pwani University in Kilifi, Kenya.
Students will explore coastal and marine environments, embark on education safaris in iconic game parks, encounter the Big Five, traverse the savannah grasslands to Kenya’s breathtaking landscapes, experience cultural insights, and form lasting friendships.
You’ll also explore sustainable development initiatives, participate in research and cultural immersion, and experience global environmental perspectives.
Ultimately, you’ll gain global perspectives and master the foundation for achieving sustainable development.

Program Costs:
US$14,200 for applicants from outside the Australasia (Australia & New Zealand) region and AU$ 16,300 for applicants from Australia and New Zealand. Starting January 2024, NSFSS introduced “Beach to Bush” (B2B), a six-week learning session in Kenya with Pwani University. The program focuses on sustainability and conservation through immersive field-based education, covering diverse ecosystems, and engaging with local communities and policymakers.
NSFSS ensures student safety with 24/7 in-country staff support. Open to students aged 18 and above with no prerequisites, the program offers competitive tuition and need-based scholarships of 5,000 to 10,000 Australian dollars for five students. Applications are now open, with limited spots available.
